Suzuki 24 Hours of Moab MTB Racing
I love technology and all the gret things that go with it
not including wepons of mass destruction and the like ,but fasinating stuff lilke they have at.

I hope it get to Ozz there must be away to stop dickhe**ds knocking of trail signs and arrows on course by having some sort of electronic beacon system
In thirteen years time this race has become one of the single greatest mountain bike races in the history of the sport.
For one short weekend, a mountain bike city grows up out of the desert graze-lands.
They host more than 5,000 racers, support crews, and spectators in a stunningly beautiful, completely remote venue and then, in two days, it’s gone. October 11th & 12th, 2008 , was this years Suzuki 24 Hours of Moab, it looks to be a world-class event that draws teams from all over the world.
There is a field limit of 450 teams plus solos and the race books up faster every year, Well i am working on my plan to get me the where withall to travel to these places with my trusty Raceline.
Training with inexpensive but effective equipment
I thought I would put this quick video together showing a very simple routine that can be used for great core strength effect.
I often hear people putting of getting fit or taking part in an exercise routine because of no time or it is to hard to get to the gym.
If your goal is to start to feel better about yourself you can find a lot of stuff around the house that will give you a device to use for an effective work out with out a big cash outlay for equipment. If you are a triathlete body weight exercices are often overlooked for more macho bravado bragging how mindless K’s you put up on the last training ride or session.
Strength training without weights is really effective these exercises really benefit you to strengthen your body.
Abdominal Exercises Obviously these are great exercises to work the Abs. When you are working your abs

or any muscle group for that matter, you do not need to be in a hurry, take your time and really feel your muscles working. As I show in the video Abs are meant to be done in a controlled movement, while making sure that you are able to rest in between sets.
Many people believe you need the gym and weights to build muscle, but these body weight exercises really work. Use the exercises daily and you will see the results come. There is not always a need for expensive weight training equipment that you might think there is.
There are many strength training exercises without weights using your own body weight that you can do, they are:
Pull-ups (chin-ups) A Pull-up will build muscle and strength in the back, shoulders, triceps, and chest. You will even seem some growth in the biceps. Pull ups are one example that you can use the resistance of your own body weight to great effect.
Push Ups the push up works the chest, the front part of the shoulder, and the triceps.
Squats this exercise is excellent for the lower back, calves, hamstrings, and quadriceps.
These simple exercises are easily the best and quickest way to gain great specific triathlon
training in a controlled and sports specific training routine.
I will go through the routines on the equipment I show in the video over the next few weeks.
Strength Training for Triathletes
I saw a great book on strength training for triathletes that I thought I would pass on to you.
It is a sport specific training for swim, bike, run, but it is a great book for sensible strength exercises that can benefit any body that has a desire to get fit.
Raw food for depression and sport
I have been so slack of late partly because I have been struggling with direction and other issues that I have to deal with in managing my depression. Since I have had to stop running because of my ankle injury I have lost a method of depression managment I have used for many years. I have always been conscious of my diet and have commented on this blog before today about the benefits of a raw food diet I though I would put this video up about this fellow who is getting some great results in his running endevours on a raw food diet
Visualization,and belief
Visualization is a technique that if practiced and honed as a skill can achieve great results.
I have copied a link to a video presentation by a guy call Mike Morgan or ‘ Million dollar mike’ who is a professional copy writer speaking about his way of getting success in business and personal development.
Just click on the link below It may not be 100% Triathlon oriented but stay with it as finding motivation and achieving a goal is a principle I like to comment on.
In the presentation he speaks of his time in the USA Cycling track team.
Visualization, for sport performance, personal and business development
Training your thoughts
Again I find myself commenting on a subject outside Triathlon sport itself, but at the same time it has a direct bearing on lifestyle quality, which for me is subset of the mission statement I work with in reference to what message I want to convey to all that stumble across this content.
As is evident around you in the western world, obesity has a grip on a large percentage of the population.
The problem keeps rising because of inactivity and poor eating decisions that individuals themselves make.
Are the decisions you make influenced by your immediate circle of influence ,that is your friends or family or is the huge agribusiness that operates in the commercial underbelly of consumer thought manipulation responsible for the life style options that people adopt.
As always the more awareness you bring into your decision making, the more power you gain back from elements that seek to access you for their financial and herding manipulation.
By seeking a lifestyle that requires your body to be efficiant you need be fueled by subtances that support your body and the earth in substanability and not to the detriment of our resources just for the sake of the almighty dollar.
By stepping up to the start line you activate your ability to see through things that you may have accepted as being just the way things are. It does not mean you become a vegan radical or clothe your self in a smug righteousness as you pound your way around the street in your new Nikes ( Brand
herding).
By creating a situation where you become a small percentage of the population going in a different direction to the herd, you are able to see the manipulation that goes on to gain your body as the receptacle for offerings proffered by entities that have no qualms about spreading a lie to sustain the bottom line profit.
I though this video said some things that is good for people to be aware of.
Bike skills extrordinare not olympic sport but damn skilfull
Olympic Cheating or money for talent
Olympic competition always brings both the best and the worst out of athletic pursuit, drugs and cheating are the sad side of a noble endevour to be the very best.
I would like you to comment on where does technology and the availability to all gray the line of talent and money.
Just click on the link below for the background of what I am talking about

Chris McCormack getting into a wetsuit
I had a bit of a laugh when i saw this, after you have been doing something for so long you simply forget that for the first timer there is always a learning curve.
Even something as simple as putting on a wetsuit has its challenges, such as is most things we attempt for the first time ,but that is in itself the sweet taste of success.
By actually going through with a dream, goal or ambition you are at the forefront of the pack so follow Macca put on the wesuit, pump up the tyres, lace up the runners, and get up to the start line .
In south East Queensland the wetsuit temperature ruling does not see many races run with a wetsuit, but if you do own one it is always a good thing to practice getting out as well as getting in and take a few practice swims.
If I know i will be using a wet suit I find it good to get three or four swims in, as for me it seems to make my arms tired and I do not like the feeling of something tight around my neck and chest.
I have added a new feature to this blog. As you know, if you read this blog I do not go a lot into training details and articles here as there is a lot of information out there. I tend more to lean towards great achievements and Items of encouragement.
The new addition is a widget in the side bar that gives feeds from other sources for this element of training and popular stories so you can drop by and get all sorts of info.
I like the podcast No 62 from www.tri_talk.com a great way of getting information on the run just download and listen on the run
Not for tour de France but damn fast
This is the third in the series of interviews I did with Graeme Pearson about his Go fast carbon composite frames
I will post later more details about information on where to get the new frame.
if you leave a comment i can send you more info about the Bike and contacts.
