Introduction to Raw Foods The Protein Myth
I always find it a wakeup call when I look at the date of my last blog post and realize sometimes weeks have gone by without me posting anything to the site.
I ask what the heck have I been doing with my life and where have I been spending my time. If you can honestly answer that you have been living life occording to your plan, I think you are a lucky soul, as it is something that is sadly lacking in my life, in the sense of implementing ideas, taking action.
If you have a goal and implement the action needed you will get a result, what dictates the outcome is preparation and willingness to ” fail” at what you are attempting to do.
The thought of failing is a powerful deterrent for a lot of people, even though failiure is often a learning proccess of its own. Learning how to fail forward fast, is a lesson in life well worth understanding.
This year I made a disicion to share more of my understanding of a rawfood lifestyle with a wider audience, and one of the ways I set myself to achieve this was to hold public talks on the subject.
For most people the fear of talking in public is something akin to the pain of having a tooth pulled, and twice as attractive. I am comfortable on a stage, as I spent a long time in the entertainment industry so microphones and being in front of a crowd is not new. The challenge was believing in myself enough that what I had to say was something somebody wanted to hear and I would not ” FAIL “ in my attempt to share this information.
I realized that what was the most important thing was that as long as I spoke with the passion, that I have for the things I believe in there is no failure. The result is not to be measured by any accolades or deriding comments, but in knowing that you are indeed able to conquer your fear and do the action, in spite of any fears that arrive .
The following video is part 1 of a series I will make of the talk unfortunately the footage did not come out as well as I liked, but I will get better and hopefully educate more people to the benefits of making a conscious eating choices, whilst getting out and enjoying physical activity, shoes off, and enjoying the beauty of this world we live in.
