With Barefoot running you will always get the extreme and controversial nutter who wants to make a point and argument around the principles of  barefooting, be it in a public place or on a race track.

I am not one of those people, and am not one to have a mission that the evils of footwear and the manufacturers  should be made to pay etc etc, but in saying that, I do think and am living prove that footwear is detrimental to runners over a period of time.

If correct running form is not implemented by covering bad habits with shoe wear, when starting to learn running and  the natural movement that is ours as a species to step up to.

Indeed it is one of the pillars that will give us the ability to lead an active and healthy life if we do as nature intended and preform movement and activity in our daily lives.

I am all ways fielding question regarding someone’s excuses for not being able to get out and be active.

Depending o n my mood I will be either gentle or openly blunt with any response I may have. It seems the more a person has invested in the reason why they cannot do something, the more apparent is the truth that they are not interested in taking the  action required.

Be it through fear or laziness , or both, but what ever is the excuse you can not argue with somebody who has made up there mind they cannot find time to exercise,….. I have not ability to run…..Ii have fat genes…….I am too busy…….. BAAAARPp…. wrong answer….. you owe it to your self and your loved ones to be as healthy as is possible.

In a western culture such as Australia the obesity records are shameful to say the least, I will admit that because of the marketing that goes on in countries like Australia it is a cycle that sucks people inexorable further down the vortex of unhealthy attitudes and relinquishing of sovereignty of  thier thought proccess, after all it is piss easy to dial up a pizza, its cheaper to buy a processed packadged foods ( that fresh stuff is to expensive)

The advertisements glare at us………… pick me and it will be easy for you………. follow this and you will not have to think…….

Pay tv, the  artificial armchair sport culture, snacks, soda, headache pills, and indigestion tablets, all a marketing culture that is having dire consequences on mental anf physical health.

I’m a… Crazy…. Bare Foot Raw Food Athlete…..?

  1. So guys ,If you think raw food lifestyle is radical and not sustainable,
  2. go research what environmental impact it has to produce a plate of dead animal, as opposed to plant based diet choices.
  3. look into consumer buying activities, and decide if you are are making the choice, or was it the subliminal marketing messages you get making the choice for you
  4. if bare foot running seem far fetched and on the crazy side of reality, examine the work of Harvard Scientist Dr. Dan Lieberman and his study, “Foot strike patterns and collision forces in habitually barefoot versus shod runners

I get a few questions about how to deal with conditions that are not the best for bare foot running especially the cold and snow so I did a quick drive by video
