Of sporting injuries 70% are running related, what is this a factor of are your running shoes good for you?
I have a few of my own ideas and one of them is a belief that we trust all the Pseudo science and advertising that is the huge sportswear industry far to much.
Our vanity and thirst for immediate instant solution are a cause for many a difficulty we run into as a human race and an individual.
We want to perform well, so the marketing machine lights up your eyes with the latest sweat shop manafacured you beut runners, your friendly local running store has the latest gadget to fit you with the latest offer the god of consumerisim has to offer.
So you pay your 100-300 dollar performace price tag and you merrily go on your way assured that because of your shoe technology, you will be protected from injury.
Bullshit running injury prevention is also about technique, genetic disposition and understanding your body.
Unless you are a naturally gifted runner you most likely will be carrying into your running style imbalances caused be a various number of influences from genetic inadequacies and imbalances to stress caused by bad working practices and life style choices up to that point.
There is a big chance of being strapped into a pair of shoes that is forcing your foot to do something it finds to radical to adjust to and injury take place.
A lot of people when they buy a new shoes think Oh yes ! this is good my shoes were wearing out that’s why I was getting injured, but not identifying that if they a correct running motion that did not work on a heel strike jarring motion and have trained the natural shock absorber ( the Calf’s) you would not be need the anti pronation, pump up, waffle soled, offering that gets served up.
This short video is a good visual of a running style that will cause injury while using the shoe gait shown does it mean all runners with an incorrect running style will get injured no ! but 70% of people do.
What do you think leave me a comment and give me your opinion
